The candle napkin fold is a very easy fold that looks nice and can be made quickly.

Steps to Making This Napkin Fold
1.
Lay the napkin facing down in front of you.
2.
Fold the napkin in half diagonally.
3.
Turn the napkin so the open side is away from you.
4.
Make a 1 inch fold on the long side and press it down flat.
5.
Start at one side and roll the napkin into a cylinder. Keep the edge straight so it will stand when you are finished.
6.
Tuck the end into the bottom and stand it up. How easy was that?
Bishops Hat Napkin Fold
The bishop’s hat napkin folding technique might take a few practice runs to get the points to line up. Use your starch and an iron to get it to stand up correctly.

Steps to Making this Fold
1.
Place the napkin face down in front of you.
2.
Fold the napkin in half towards you.
3.
Fold the far-right corner diagonally towards you, resting the point in the center of the side closest to you.
4.
Now take the bottom left corner and fold it away from you diagonally. The edge should like up with the edge of the previous fold.
5.
Turn the napkin over and position it so it points to the upper-left and to the lower-right.
6.
Now, lift the bottom half up and away from you. Lay this half so the far edges lay on top of each other.
7.
Reach under and pull the right flap out. This should make the nearest side make two points.
8.
Carefully roll the left half of the triangle on the left over. Tuck that end under the triangle on the right.
9.
Turn your napkin over so the points are directed away from you.
10.
Take the right triangle and fold it to the left. Tuck the end of it into the other triangle.
11.
Open it up and it should have some resemblance of a hat. Push down inside to press the material down and make the hat more round in shape.
12.
Now you can try wearing your bishop’s hat around.
Bird of Paradise Napkin Fold
The bird of paradise is a very elegant napkin fold. Some starch may be required for you napkin to hold it’s shape.

Steps to Making this Fold
1.
Place the napkin in front of you – face down.
2.
Now fold the napkin in half
3.
Fold the napkin in half again. It is a quarter of the size that it was to begin with.
4.
Make a triangle by folding diagonally.
5.
Turn the triangle so that the open end is facing away from you.
6.
Take the right corner and fold it toward you. The edge of this new fold should be in the center of the triangle. What was the right corner should now be pointing down at you. You may want to iron this fold to keep it from coming undone.
7.
Do the same thing with the left corner. Again, an iron may be in order.
8.
Fold both bottom corners back underneath the napkin. This creates a triangle once again and will hold better with the use of an iron.
9.
Fold the whole thing in half so that the middle seam comes up and the two bottom corners go down.
10.
Keep a hold of the bottom of the napkin and start folding the inside flaps up. Allow for some space in between each one after you pull them up.
11.
This is what the finished product should look like. This napkin fold will probably take some practice. Don’t forget starch and an iron to make the process go more smoothly.
Basic Napkin Ring
Arrow Napkin Fold
The arrow napkin folding technique is a pretty basic napkin fold that can be done quickly once learned. There is no need for starch and most napkins can utilize this fold.

Steps to Making this Napkin Fold
1.
Place the napkin face down, in front of you
2.
Fold the napkin completely in half and place the open side toward you. (the fold is away from you)
3.
Grab the top right corner and fold it down toward you to the middle of the napkin. The edge of this top fold should run right down the center of the napkin.
4.
Grab the upper left corner of the napkin and fold toward you to the center of napkin just like the previous step.
5.
Take the bottom corner of the right flap and fold it out so that the edge of the flap is even with the edge of the fold underneath.
6.
This time do the same thing with the left flap. The fold of the napkin and the edge of the flap should be even.
7.
The final step is to use both hands and to press the left and right sides together toward the center. The middle of the napkin should now bend upward and you are finished!
